Procedure: Gastric Sleeve

I walked into DFW Bariatrics at an unhealthy and unhappy 296.5 pounds. My family was not getting the time and energy that they deserved from me. I have 3 boys, twin 5 year olds and a 1 year old. I was missing out on many of the fun activities that they enjoy. A day at the zoo, playing at the park, and riding bikes took too much energy. This was all because of my weight I had let spiral out of control. When I found the DFW team and had my first consultation, that all turned around. I felt encouraged that I could reach my goal of being healthy and active. I have been so impressed with the amount of support and education that DFW Bariatrics has provided throughout this journey. They were upfront about the challenges that I would face and what I needed to do to be successful. They were always encouraging and always available to answer my questions. Now I am almost 8 months out from surgery and have lost 121.5 pounds. I am about 15 pounds away from my goal weight. I could not be happier with my progress. I vigorously work out 5-6 times a week, and I am able to enjoy all of the activities that I was too tired and out of shape for in the past with my boys. I could not be more thankful for this opportunity that the DFW Bariatrics team has provided for me to take back the lifestyle that I have always wanted.
