Procedure: Gastric Sleeve

I had a weight problem for most of my life. For years- I had put everyone’s needs before mine. I had raised 2 beautiful daughters and took care of my ailing husband. After he passed away 2 1/2 years ago- I decided it was time to put me first. That’s when I went to the DFW Bariatric Institute. I did everything that was required by insurance company to get the procedure done. It took almost a year but I was finally able to do it. Dr. Holden performed my surgery. It’s only been almost 7 months- but I am down 69 pounds! I feel amazing. I have tons of energy. I enjoy exercising. Best of all- I kicked a 16 year smoking habit and I no longer have high blood pressure or sleep apnea. I am truly happy with my results. I still have 40 pounds more to go. I am looking forward to hitting my goal!
