Procedure: Gastric Sleeve

I married my husband Josh twelve years ago and we had our little girl a year later. At the time I weighed 160 and was running 3 miles a day.

Shortly after having her I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis and had to start taking Prednisone for over a year. Needless to say, taking steroids for any long period of time causes you to gain weight and lots of it. The scale climbed to 260 before I knew it. I had no life anymore. So, I made my appointment with DFW and the process began. With my insurance it was the longest six months of my life but so worth the wait.

After loosing 68 pounds, I have no regrets. I have friends who always ask me if I would make his choice again and I always say in a heartbeat. I am signed up for my first 5k and can not wait to get back to 3 miles a day.
