Procedure: Gastric Sleeve

My story: Without my sleeve surgery I would not be here today. My doctor informed me that I was a “ticking time bomb” and that I could literally die any minute from a massive stroke or a heart attack and if that didn’t kill me, my organs would start shutting down slowly and that would. My 5’2 frame could not handle all of the 267 lbs. that I weighed. I had high blood pressure, high insulin levels which made me pre diabetic, hormonal issues. My immune system was terrible I stayed ill. I also had multiple miscarriages because of my weight. I was a all around mess that was on the verge of dying at any moment. All I could think about is all the things I was going to miss with my children. I was heartbroken and so scared of what was to come for me and my kids. My doctor suggested that I have the gastric sleeve surgery done. So that I could try to save my life. It wasn’t anything that I really needed to think about. I knew that I had to do whatever it took to be here for my kids. The surgery is the best decision I have ever made in my whole life, It has been 15 months since my surgery and I have lost 124Llbs. I have lost a whole person! I am no longer on any medications and I feel 100% better. I am so grateful for the surgery and what it has done to improve my life. I have so much more energy and my immune system has gotten so much better. I love that I am able to do so many more things now that I am not overweight that I didn’t even realize held me back before It is and was a life changing experience that I will forever be grateful for in every way. I am proud of my surgery and love to tell people about it so that maybe they can make their life more healthy and active too.
