Procedure: Gastric Sleeve

Weight Lost: 50 lbs.

My Story: I began my journey at 276 lbs (surgery date of 11/14/11). 5 months out I’m at 226, 50 lbs down and loving every day of my new life. My weight loss has been slow and methodical. I no longer take asthma medicine, my back, knees and feet don’t hurt anymore, and my depression has lifted. The sky is bluer, the grass is greener and my days are less stressful…. and I’m almost half way there. I have more confidence along with a sense of purpose.

I CAN DO ANYTHING ….and……. I’m almost half way to my goal, isn’t that just TOO COOL?!!!

I am so blessed to have had no complications from my surgery. I had my surgery on Monday, returned back to work the following Tuesday, and I haven’t missed a day of work or had any issues with the surgery at all. In fact at my last doctor’s visit I asked the attendant to do another x-ray of my stomach, because I didn’t have any pain throughout the recovery and I just wanted to make sure that I really had, had the sleeve done….LOL DFW Bariatrics is the best. I would recommend DFW Bariatrics, the staff and the gastric sleeve surgery to anyone who has struggled with weight loss and wants a new life.
